Through the Looking Glass

Location

Through the looking glass

stands a female.

Not yet a woman,

but no longer a girl.

Through the looking glass

emotions set sail.

A smile that hides pain,

but still greets the  world.

Through the looking glass

her fingers leave a trail.

Cascading down like rain,

hitting the bottom of a curl.

Through the looking glass

it shares her tale.

A struggle it contains,

the transformation of a pearl.
