Thoughts of You

Walking across a snowy bridge, I wished upon a star
To dance with you at waters edge, hold you close, not far

To gaze into your deep blue eyes if only for a moment,
I then begged the dark'ning skies, "Release me of this torment!"

Alas! You did not reappear, as I had so hoped
but how I missed you then my dear, whilst I walked upon the slope

Across the bridge and through a grove, I laid a lily fair
then to my car and away I drove, leaving rows of headstones there
