Though they may be worlds away,

Thoughts of true friends help pass the day.

Friends old and friends young,

Friends of different custom and tongue.

Friends long known, friends newly made,

Others will go, but true friends stay.

True and good, selfless love,

Friends are made in heaven above.

No matter where they live or where they've trod,

True friends are destined by our Almighty God.

For He knows the trials that life throws our way,

But thoughts of true friends will help to pass the day.
