Though Different Eyes

If I could change the world, I would change its eyes

I would change skin tones from various colors to one

Everyone would be blue, the color of something new

There would be no more white, black, brown, red, or different colors and hues

Race, gender, color, size, would all be hidden from the eyes

If I could change the world, I would change its point of view

There would be no differences, no me or you, no black, no red, only blue

I would change the perception of what people have known for years

And show them a different side, different story, different lives, that would bring tears to the eyes

I would change skin tones from various colors to one

Everyone would be blue, the color of something new

New ideas, new ways, new lives, new history, new stories and no more lies

I would let people see through different eyes,

Why so many people die, why so many people cry, why so many people question why?

Everything would be seen through different eyes

This poem is written to make others think about how the world would be if things were different. If the minority was the majority, if up was down, if there were no differences in race, color, sex, or gender.
