Those Who Sit in an Open Cage

Mon, 09/26/2022 - 11:52 -- mrHenny

Sitting on your bed, crying.

The angst and pain ripping through your heart

Every second, slowly dying

Anxiety tearing you apart

Love, hatred, pride, envy

Conflicts transform into passion

Stop dreaming of what you could be,

And start making it happen!

Why are you so fascinated

In the way that you feel?

And why are you so vacillated

In believing feeling is real?

Work above the rich and lazy

With your rightful kingdom in mind

They cannot match your type of crazy

Or imitate your grind

So they’ll sit and watch you strain

And work until you drop

Their ignorance to your pain

Will drive you to the top

Your passion is unmatched

And overlapping your rage

Step out, don’t look back

Stop sitting in an open cage
