Those Green Eyes

In the early morning
When the sun filters in
And you see him
Staring back at you
Those green eyes
That love you, you never thought
You'd live to see
And your heart thumps loud
And the TV's showing
Some random infomercial.
You know its not a dream.

His hand warm in your's
Walking down the busy street
Cars and passing faces
You don't even notice
Because he's smiling at you
Those green eyes
Corners of them crinkling
Like the corners around his smile
And a car honks
And a baby wails.
This is the story of the rest of your life.

The days pass
And the years fly faster
But every day he's still there
Like you never believed
He would be.
Those green eyes
That heart stopping smile
And your heart still thumps the same.
And your kids yell
And the dogs are barking.
Your's is one amazing life.
