Every time it takes you there.
Takes you to a time of despair.
Your hatred haunts you,
And your love betrays you.

Every time I see those eyes,
I think about better times.
I wish you could see them, too
Because, every time, it hurts me and you.

Those eyes, those eyes
Those eyes that are not yours.
Those eyes, that both you and I
Forever despise.

Those eyes that cannot see,
That cannot see what's been done to me.
That's been done to you.

Those eyes are beyond repair, those eyes,
They're beyond the life
That you want to feel.

What possesses you in the night
Will never compare to the words that bite.

The feelings that I feel,
They are almost unreal.

If you could see yourself tonight,
Just think of these little eyes, bright.

They shine with moisture, that can't be seen
They shine with sadness, next to me.

Now look at yourself, in the night.
Look at yourself, and change this fright.
For tomorrow brings pleasurable things,
And yesterday is a song that no one sings.
