Things too Large for Pockets

To think that I have kept this for so long

A picture of us on the Carlisle, of mother

And grand-ma, her dark curly hair

Her youthful face, and blossoming cheeks

I was so anxious, so pissed off

They kind of taught me but I never learned how to

Yeah, I’ve got my driver’s license

My daughter taught me how to love, to change

To think my entire family was still be in El Salvador if it wasn’t for grandmother

The Harry Potter series, I stayed up all night reading

A gift card, now a key to all the books I cannot buy
