Things I hate because of you

I hate long drives without a radio.

I hate sleepless nights without sight to stare.

I hate when teachers pressure the importance of the facts.

I hate quite classrooms without the crickets.

I hate anything that gives me a chance to think,

Because all my thoughts start and end with you.

All my thoughts surround the conversations we had late at night,

And the secrets we shared.

All though we haven't know one other for so long, I knew so much already.

I know that when I drive home I think of you,

Or when I lay in bed at night replaying your last words spoken to me.

I know that during a lifeless moment in time,

My thoughts drift away into a sea full of our memories.

And if anything were to be true,

It would be that I am waiting for you.
