They Say.

Location

They say that Love is Kind,

They say that Love is Blind,

Which is probrably why we turn a blind eye when those who use that word act the opposite way,

And when given the option to stay, it's the option we take,

Even though they constantly pierce our hearts with a stake.

So tell me, why do we act this way?

You see, back in the day Love was the place to be.

We were playing for keeps, not just once every week.

But when the game became "How quick can you get her in the sheets?',

It seems we have forgotten how to speak.

So the communication got worse, and so do the fights,

When you care more about who's wrong and who's right

And you lose sight of why youre even here in the first place.

You thought you had found love, and this was it's birthplace.

And losing the other person was considered the worst case,

But now its just the same old wordplay.

"I Love You."

"I'm Sorry."

"It'll Never Happen Again."

Looks like someone's playing old records again.

Letting that record spin like your head as you ponder within

If this is really the relationship you should be in.
