What would I do
Without my pen
Where would I turn?
When life comes at me tumultuously
And makes my stomach churn

The pen relieves my stress
And sets my mind free
Putting together the pieces
So I can finally see

I write because I'm lost
I write to be found
Sometimes with a little effort
My thoughts become profound

Putting thoughts to words
It brings me clarity
Releasing thoughts to paper
It is my therapy
