Thanksgiving and gratitude
Colossians 1:3-4
Their Faith in Christ
3 We give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,
4 since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of your love for all the saints;
“Thanksgiving and prayer go together” ... with Holy Spirit
Completeness in the guided action ... for the Glory of the Son.
Even in our imperfection ... the hunger should be consistent
To search for fulfillment in Him ... before the day is done.
Some don’t count their blessings and some don’t recognize them.
Some only give credit to ... the “what” they think they’ve done.
In their state of confusion ... they can only see “true” value
as death has become life to them ... until they are passing on.
Body, soul and Spirit ... really have great division
when a man is reborn in Jesus Christ, the Savior.
Flesh is flesh and can’t be changed ... its end is dust and ashes
but the Spirit when revived ... will influence all behavior.
Thanksgiving we understand some ... it has to do with grateful
The easiest expression may be “works” to show appreciation
Prayer however ... has a completely different meaning
in the eye of the beholder ... and the level of degradation.
Communicating with the Lord or reasoning with Him.
and understand His thoughts and what He has in store.
If your God is not the Lord ... Who are you confiding in?
Is not the answer to that ... hidden in your inner core?
Many idols are around ... mostly self-chosen.
With blinders on our kisser ... we think to see clearly.
Oh, we are so lovely in our own interpretation.
Somewhere in the future, we’ll have to pay dearly.
