Thank you

You never realize it

until you

do things on your own.

All your life

your parents provide

a home,

your clothes,

food, transportation...

You never realize

how much they provide,

until getting ready to

provide for yourself is

what you have to do.

Their help

is tremendous.

Their love

surrounds us.

Their support

means everything to me.

"I'm so proud of everything you've done."

That is everything.

That one sentence

can make me cry in an instant.

Tears of joy,

accomplishment.

That one sentence

is enough to keep me going.

On my toughest days,

that one sentence

will keep me pushing through.

I'm doing this for you.

This college degree is for you.

Thank you,

for showing me how to be

the best possible me.
