Terribly, Wonderful Me

Sun, 11/01/2015 - 16:08 -- amykulp

I identify myself as Amy Lee

Possibly the only person who could be me,

I didn’t think I would grow up to be how I am today

In fact, my young self would probably have something mean to say

As I take you on a quick journey through the years,

Be known that most of these have caused me to cry tears.

High school was a rough time

Especially with a school as small as mine.

Everyone knew all

Every class was right down the hall

However with this small of a population

The student body made up a lot of accusations.

From the bullying to my fake friends

Half of the time, I wish my life would just end.

Hurting, cutting, and crying

The easiest thing seemed to be dying.

Although I have been through the worst,

Friends were the reason that I found light – I will say this first.

Through ranting sessions that lasted hours

I felt like all of my friends had powers.

They could make me smile when I’m in the worst mood

And even put up with me when I was just plain rude.

Life experiences usually don’t happen until you’re older,

But mine has showed me that people will always need a shoulder.

I have changed so that I do not judge other teens

I make sure that they’re okay, by all means.

I want to be there for them like my friends were there for me

There will be light at the end, you just have to wait and see
