Tempted

1 Corinthians 10:13

13 No trial has overtaken you that is not faced by others. And God is faithful:

He will not let you be tried beyond what you are able to bear,

but with the trial will also provide a way out so that you may be able to endure it.

Tempted

I can’t embrace you dear … your flesh is too attractive

I can’t read your heart when mine is not in tune

I’m sorry I am near and so very distracted

With the only part that will be buried in a tomb

Do I only see temporal when I gaze into your face?

Is the Eternal simply hidden by the longing of the flesh?

Is the lack of moral that moves me in a haze?

Towards forbidden thoughts in offense to God’s Grace

You are just too lovely … I can see that now

I will know your heart in days to come

Please forgive me only if you sense somehow

That God has taken charge of the weakness I was on
