Temple

Every time you set the stake

You crust over your mistakes

You size the sun for your pleasure babe

I sat up long nights, even if you were late

They say we die while we fly

Maybe thats why

Heaven seems to pass us right on by

I meant to say we gave it a try

And sometimes I even blame it on life

But that's a lie

So at midnight

Remember almost is never enough

Love is aways going to be tough

Maybe we've drifted into the past

But, I want times like these to last

So I can lve to see you again

Even when I am dead and gone me friend

The way I used to scream

Reckless in my room

I tied to say we'd beat on

Do you know what it feels like

To want something so bad

Always so mad at what you can't have

Even if it's something you wanted

I'm the sunshine and you're the shade

I'd go on about these fruitess days

But my mind is is my landfill

And my heart, the seal

My body, the kitchen

Slamming doors

Huring dishes

And making things ficticious

Cracking each plate against my bones

Hoping no one would know

The very soles of my feet would walk miles

Until they bleed

And walk on clouds in thunderstorms

Til' God strikes me ...

Beause I'll never be able to fight me
