Tell

It’s a hard thing to do.
Harder to admit.
Many emotions.
Past worries, regrets, and fears.
Some-what hypocritical,
Some-what caring.
Learning from the past,
Improving the future.
I hope they take it better,
Better than I did.
I want their life to get better,
But first, it has to get worse.
Hard times.
I was mad,
I won’t deny that.
I can’t blame them if they react in anger,
I can’t blame them if they’re mad.
I feel like a hypocrite,
But so was she.
I can’t judge.
Now I understand.
I don’t expect them to,
Not yet.
I didn’t.
I know they’ll be mad.
But I care,
And so, I tell.
