Tears employ life's purest energy They contain what we're meant to be Small droplets brewed from our soul Dropping silently beyond our control

No rhyme or rhythm to their cause Seeming to follow no reality laws Appearing quickly with little thought They can't be sold, or even bought

Some say they show a person weak Others swear they are love we seek Regulated by life's every emotion Hope, hate, love, even family devotion

Whatever reason that created them Embrace emotion from which they stem With each tear falling from closed eyes Your story speaks as it slowly dries

Tears aren't meant to bring out shame The heart alone can't carry the blame Tears mean you're asoul who can feel Tears are what make our humanity real
