Imagine the stars as teardrops
Suspended in the eyes of angels looking down, watching.
The reason they fall is because of the horror they are forced to watch,
Because of the blood that is shed,
Because of the pain we are forced to endure.
Imagine that, when they fall from the sky, it is because they weep.
They weep for us- us lowly, ignorant creatures who have no idea
Of what true beauty is.
We see the stars and we can't understand the complexity.
We can't understand that we are nothing.
Tiny specks on a tiny particle that we call home
Suspended in an expanse of star dust.
That's why they cry.
Imagine the stars as teardrops.
They hang untouched and unknown, frozen in time.
Imagine the stars as teardrops.
They fall for us my friend.
They fall because we cannot understand the power we have
When it comes to the lives of others.
Tell me,
How would you start to live
If you saw the stars as teardrops?
