Teamwork

Thu, 10/26/2017 - 17:54 -- Rae.Fen

We were putting file cabinets together on the deck

Laughing and assembling furniture

As we fumbled throuhg the wordless instructions

Telling each other when we thought the other was wrong

without contempt

only care

I tried clumsily to help, dispensing screws and bolts

A little less than useful

But I was with you

And that's what matters

This poem is about:
My family
