I know that face too well
Consistent with the pain
I feel when my face pales
At the thought of your ghost
At the very realization
That everything I've given
Is the everything you've taken
Facade of innocence
Defended by false ignorance
Keep playing dumb
As my heart keeps withering
I've fallen victim to your wanton attack
Why do I bear the brunt of this shameless dissolution?
Denied relief from you
Damned in my suffering, no solution
You drew me in close
Waving a blood red heart
Like a bull, I charged full force
Only to taste the texture of the dust
My only escape, my only release
Held in perfect view, but just out of my reach
Out of my reach
Out of my reach
Out of my reach
