Talent

Proverbs 3:7-8 New English Translation (NET Bible)

Do not be wise in your own estimation;
fear the Lord and turn away from evil.
8 This will bring healing to your body,
and refreshment to your inner self.

Talent

Where are you hiding in the early morn?

You’re supposed to be “my” talent

Without you, I can’t get ahead

To wherever I want to go

I know vaguely when you were born

Like you arose to be content

That depravity somehow shed

In an array of straying apropos

I appear lonely without you

Although I use you as a crutch

I constantly seem to stumble

With my full weight in your center

In all the things I do

My sufficiency as such

Removes my being humble

In the dreams, I want to enter

Without you, my friend

I would not have any pride

If you are not part of me

I would think of myself a failure

You must be Heaven sent

Or a gift of the darker side

That keeps me of being free

To be noticed in my posture
