United States

Silence is the enemy,

Never too far away.

Other fears have begun to flee,

Yet it seems to linger and stay.

Why must quiet fill the room

Every time I go to speak?

It's the cause of all my gloom;

So powerful, yet so weak.

I'll overcome my silent fear,

Not by force but determined choice,

Because the world's lacking is clear,

And a difference starts with one voice.
