Swimming Through Life

Location

Life is an ocean,
Filled with mystery and fear.
We fall in line with its rhythmic motion,
Pushing us through the hardships and the tears.

Imagine swimming through life,
With bricks tied to your ankles and wrists.
Wishing you could cut these weights with a knife,
As your body and soul sinks into a never ending abyss.

Imagine swimming through life,
Being consumed by these horrid emotions.
Accompanied only by the melancholy tune of a fife,
As many have lost their battle with the ocean.
