the sweet little nothings you once whispered
are now imprinted in my brain.
they are cave paintings on a wall
written in forever ink.

my hands are lonely
like when you get rid of a ring.
the memory is still there
so you find yourself fiddling with the nothingness

since you left me, the butterflies in my stomach died of a broken heart.

they were correct
photographs do last longer than the real thing:
looking back, i didn’t love you.

love is nothing compared to how i feel.
love is kindergarten talk.
it doesn’t just cover a physical aspect of life-
but if it could..

my love for you is like the ocean
others have only experienced 3 % of it
the other 97 % is unknown to everyone who hasn’t been there.
so they call it love
because they never experienced anything stronger
they don’t know how it is.

to know you will never see your other ½ again.
because the doctors didn’t catch it in time.
“i’m sorry” they tell me.
And they are

So i’m left with the sweet nothings you once said
they are imprinted in my brain.
they are cave paintings on a wall
written in forever ink.
