Survivor

The light radiates on the land

The land of life

An ever-growing lushness spreads without bound

This greenery nourishes

A single drop of dew crawls down the face of a lone leaf

The drop of woe

It collects itself upon the serrated edge aiming for the ground

Falling through the sky

The leaf recoils as if the drop was never there

Yet a streak remains

The light warms the face of the leaf

The streak evaporates

Life goes on.
