A Survivor

That's what I am

Ask anyone who knows me

they will tell you

I have lived through wars inside my head

I have battled the skin on my wrists with razor blades

I am a warrior, a fighter, a survivor. And I will not apologize for that

I will not apologize for how loudly I choose to laugh

Or for how deeply I choose to feel

For how strongly I choose to love

You do not know me

But you will know of me

of my triumphs my prayers my voice

I am art I am love I am hope

 I am a survivor
