Oak pressed back,
Musk pressed forward,
Suffocation burnt into my cells.
Never forget your first time.

Scrambling and dragging,
Kicking and screaming,
No one is around to hear,
To care,
To even notice your existence.

Swollen smiles and crooked glances,
Two black spots to hide from the worried
Looks and questions.

They say you deserve it
Dressed that way, acting that way.
Trying to stand out
Can kill your life.

No one will save you.
Unless you save yourself first.
