Sunshine

Tue, 09/01/2015 - 17:25 -- quysa

I used to think I would be a bouncing ballerina

Then Brett died and life forever changed

Long days at Mom’s school

Involuntary volunteering with kids

Who knew it would shape me into who I am today?

Volunteering every chance I get

Kids telling me their life stories

Telling me they love me

And I have grown to love them too

Now my name is Ms. Sunshine

I make the day bright

With games and smiles

I now know who I am

And tutus play no role in my future

My future belongs with kids

Making a difference in the world

One ray of sunshine at a time
