Sunset Lover

Sunset lover

Is what the men call her

Goddess of fertility

Is what the god of the sun calls her

He watches her every sunrise, and sunset

Noticing every mesmerizing color of her soul

Longing to Love her eternally

She waits on her road of golden roses

Wishing she could run to the sun

As she gets ready to leap she notices the jump is too steep

Oh sunset lover if only someone would shove her

Shove her so she could fly to the sky where he awaits, way up high

Where angels skate and the turtle becomes less shy

Where perfection lives, where you are amazing enough not to try..

Nobody pushed her… she learned how to fly away to a place where she isn’t quite sure

When he found his goddess, it was hard to think modest..

She looked into his eyes and found a light

She let it consume her, hoping that if the moment paused someone would hit resume

He took her into his embrace, trying to slow time so it wouldn’t race

And by one kiss she knew that his lips she’d forever miss

Sunset lover finally felt at peace with her finding him… the broken piece

That made her complete

Oh sunset lover
