Sunrise

Heat rises above the peaks of snow and ice

Sparkling crystals reflect pastels across my face

Many a tear had fallen slow

On which man had beaten

I am still here

Laying on the hill

Awaiting my prince

But this of course

Is no fairytale

It is a nightmare

A horrid mass of darkness

Streams of oil and tar collect

In my chest

Glazing over my stone heart

Warmth hits me now

And spreads thoughout

A tingling roams across my body

Through my fingers

Down my hips

To my toes

Comforted it has been

A sunrise
