Sun Dance

Sun Dance

I'll pass along your view

With solemn bliss tonight,

The dreams of southern summers

Are so close in sight,

Rainless relics of stars

Are in your eyes tonight

They burn and shine so bright

No longer waiting for the

Chill of the mellowing mountains

Where the flowers soar

They hold the siren's roar

And I'll be waiting

All alone by the subway station

For an open door

I wish you'd rest your head for just a minute more

Rest your head

Now's the time to let go

Of the life you dread

Shut your eyes and see

No need to sweat what lies ahead

Transit glare in the night

Can take us anywhere

If you will take a dare

Look to the east and see the

Birds fly away from the boar

Fly from the holy way

Sun dance your way ashore

And you can shed the skin of

Lives you were living before

We're building something more

It's what this life is for

I hope that you can see the

Ways of the stars above

The planets show their love

The one they're thinking of

Is resting right beside me

Rest your head

Now's the time to let go

Of the life you dread

Shut your eyes and see

No need to sweat what lies ahead.
