Summertime Love

Love to me is like the summertime.
With the heat of the sun,the intensity of love between two people.
The cold wind plays the role of the sensation of falling in love.
A clear and gentle stream, displays how deep love flows through their veins.
Many an afternoon
Of the summer day
Dreaming here she lays
Of the boyish day
And she knows how soon
Idly at its hour
From the tree top tower.
And then evening comes
Creeping up the glade
With her lengthening shade
And the tardy boon,
The brightening glower of the moon.
Night brings mystery for the two,
Wishing on fallen stars for eternal unison into everlasting love.
The moon shines on their faces revealing the deeper expressions that love engraved.
And underneath the stars, butterfly kisses blossom.
The beginning of a new day, softly in the dusk.
When her beloved has gone away, the yearning begins.
As the wind blows, she wishes he could be swept up by the breeze and taken to where he is.
She will then give him a gift.
Not a red rose or a satin heart.
She'll give him an onion.
It is a moon wrapped in brown paper.
It promises light, like the careful undressing of love.
Here!/Take.
It will blind him with tears like a lover.
It will make his reflection a wobbling foto of grief.
She's just trying to be truthful.
Not a cute card of a kissogram.
She'll give him an onion.
Its fierce kiss will stay on his lips.
Possessive and faithful.
As they are.
For as long as they are.
Take it!
Lethal.
Its scent will cling to his fingers, like a wedding ring.
Her commitment to him.
Giving her heart before her body is all she has for him.
And each day the universe will turn to bring back the sun.
A new day to enjoy their summertime.
Allowing their affection to drift around like clouds and their devotion to grow like tall grass.
Even through Winter,Summer,Spring and Fall, through it all ,their love remains the same.
Unraveling like a delicate flower.
Her love for him grows by the hour.
By chance,he has given her the power
To let herself love him fully!
