Summertime
When sunshine breaks through the clouds
and warm breezes rustle branches
and make the ripples on a pond
Summertime
When bullfrogs leap
to and fro
and rabbits frisk in meadows
While the forest, dark and lush
holds may possibilities of life
with deer stepping lightly through the trees
while searching the forest
with eyes like amber flecked with golden honey
Summertime
When sunshine breaks through the clouds
and peace is everywhere you look
Summertime
