Summer Walk in the Woods
I see the moving trees, coming alive
The flowing stream glistening in the sunlight
Hearing the birds singing splendid, sappy songs
With the raging waterfall in the background
The trees are tall and strong with pine needles
The air is a cold, crispy, cool, cuddling around me
The sun is shining through the trees
When I reach the waterfall, I'm happy
Kids playing in the water, the dogs jumping joyousally 'round
Not big nor small, but the perfect size pond
But Beware,
For the water is not safe to drink
A beautiful sight but dont feel like being sick
Happy yet thirsty as I search for my water bottle
Starting back I walk through the water
Its a cool, refreshing, reverberant, feeling
Sad I'm leaving, longing to stay but happy for I made it
On the way back, the forest has wilder look
Muddy, moist, mushy, moving ground
Rocks rolling, rumbling, 'round,
Fallen, flaky, branches
Disappointed and curious,
A huge barbed wire fence blocks my way
Trapping me with its thowing thorns, trees, and thistles, along the path
I call for help and wait until someone helps me
Relieved, renewed, restored again, I am on my way
On the other side, a beautiful sunset with the sky ablue is showing
Looking at the light, fluffy, fun, fetching clouds
I get in my car and head to Denny's for ice cream
