Summer

Loving you was like summer,

Loving you was like the beach,

Loving you was like that painful sunburn,

It felt good at first,

But then,

Burned and peeled

Loving you was like summer,

Loving you was like the adventures,

Traveling the world,

And learning new cultures.

Loving you was like summer,

It was good while it lasted,

But oh here we go again,

With the new age of school,

And now,

Loving you was only like the summer rain,

Once here,

And now gone within seconds
