Suicide

She lays on her bed watching the seconds change to minutes and the minutes change to hours.

The salty tears roll down her cheeks and slide of her face.

She wishes she couldn’t hear them anymore.

Please stop she silently begs. Her heart shatters with every word said.

Her spirits are diminished. Her thoughts are dark.

The dark cloud of loneliness and despair cover her like a blanket without any warmth.

If only someone could hug her and tell her she’s not alone.

If only someone could whisper I love you to her and really mean it.

If only she felt like she belonged in this world.

She sobs softly into her pillow not wanting anyone to hear for fear they will only laugh at her face instead of wiping her tears away.

The girl holds her breath and pinches her nose.

1, 2, 3 minutes go by her heart has slowed and her face is an unnatural shade of blue.

8 hours is what it takes to find the girl. Her body lays on her bed but her ghost has flown away.
