Suffocating Dreams

my jealousy fuels a fire, uncontrollable,

devastatingly beautiful.

it eats every ounce of fresh air.

a rage builds inside.

almost to sweep me away,

but leaves me dangling on dreams

just to make me suffer.

i must enjoy the suffering,

so i have began to think.

as the red monster clashes with my lasting hopes.

my attempts of drowning the flame have failed.

i only come back for more.

and more.

more.

more.

give me more.

suffocate me.

leave me on the cusp of life and death.

here is where i find peace.

this must be peace.
