stripes of the zebra

unique in every spiece

one of a kind in each

diagonally running through the nose

seeming parallel only to rub shoulders at the back

bands of black and white

a poet could wonder what you really symbolise

race, colour, gender?

i would say

you symbolise nature's greatest beauty

her marvellous appearence

you separated yourself from all those domesticated

so as to show your wild beauty

to roam wild all freed

with no greed

to turn dark and evil

and show your unique black and white beauty
