Strength

In a house very far away

Lived a girl whose heart was gray

She dismissed her solitude

And challenged it with a bright attitude

Night and day she would play

Till dusk and dawn to her dismay

Sometimes her shield would break

Tears would fall for her sake

Together her hands would fold

As she whispers a song in the cold

A call to the river

"Cleanse me so I won't shiver"

A call to the sun

"Shine on me so I won't run"

A call to the wind

"Caress me gently so I can win"

The struggles weighed heavily on her heart

But she would never allow them to tear her apart

Strength is found from within

The will to believe in greatness is where it would begin.
