Stray away from gray

Don’t let people make you gray

Don’t let them tell you that you’re not worth the attention to pay

Don’t let them take all your color away

Because I know that every word you say

Makes me think of a bright yellow sun ray

Of an ocean wave of sea salt spray

Of melodies from a singing blue jay

All that you are and what you convey

is proof that color lacks in those who may

try and fail to make you gray
