triangles, trapezoids, and cones
none of these can distract me from the persistence of my own thoughts.
bunny rabbits, sprinkles, and rainbows
these are what girls my age should be thinking about
not college, personal looks, and boys.
my head should soar into the clouds and stay there for days.
instead
it's focused on the present hour,
tomorrow,
and the past
what has happened
who that will make me
and how that will change me
and hopefully it'll be for the better
but all I hope is one day to be able to appreciate the
triangles, trapezoids, and cones
that pass by the big monster's windows
in a foreign land
with these strangers I sit amongst
