Strange Fruit
Strange Fruit she sings hanging from the poplar trees.
Withered bodies. Lacking the juice which is life.
The cool breeze swings them.
Back and forth. To and fro'.
Strange fruit
So dark like a plum.
They hang from the branches with a stem unlike any seen before.
Strange fruit. Hanging from a noose amongst the poplar trees they grow.
