Stop Killing Our Girls 1

Dear Lord,

I wake up every day to sad news

I now hate listening to blues

Cause the love You gave us; we have abused

It no longer fit in my shoes,

And my heels are bruised.

Lord,

It hurts that we haven’t followed Your Word,

Or the footsteps of our great ancestors

Who upheld, respected your Word,

And valued human Life.

But what is it with our generation?

When did we lose our honorable and moral ways?

Why is it that killing has become so easy?

More like it’s a relationship goal or say *situation-ship* goal?

Why have we allowed anger and jealousy to take a better part of us?

Lord,

Grant us wisdom and understanding;

So that we may embrace and practice the art of forgiveness,

Release free, the burning thrill of anger in our hearts

Understand and solve problems without having to create a fuss

And make decisions based on your teachings

Amen
