Still A Mystery

My favorite character, she is ordinary

Just another girl, yet more

To admire such a maiden happens so rarely

Never has this happened before

What makes her different

What sets her apart

Questions like a current

The answer: her heart

With a passion of fire, the black turns to white

Advancing straight forward, she paves her own track

A girl made of glass, still stands for what is right

Her fire undying, her smile intact

The girl with the fiery heart still confuses me

My favorite character, Still A Mystery.

This is a more contemporary piece, for I wanted to make this a simple piece that could be easily felt and understood, by a generation younger than mine. It is simple like a song, but follows the same rules as a sonnet.
