Steal You, Fear.

Location

Jitters and shakes.

Sitting unmovin.g

To run for it and jump.

To feel the sweet airs go rushing passed

And the release of no control.

Submergence,

And quick kicks to reach the water's surface.

To capture a freeing exhilaration,

Indescribable by words.

Oh, to fear not the cliff.

Its height, the risk.

To enjoy the fall.

But, the fear.

So,there will be no leap, only defeat with each step back down the rocky slope

Foot taps and excited thoughts,

A mind full of knowledge.

Willing, open, overflowing

Joy at knowing the answer.

Oh, to be able to raise a hand.

To show the world all that is possessed inside.

The thoughts, dreams, wonders.

To have words escape and be enjoyed.

Instead, bits  of yellow cover lips and teeth.

Evidence of a nerve chewed pencil.

Sweaty palms cemented in fear on a sticky desk.

Passion for animals.

A natural skill

Whisperer of all things equine, mammalian ,and reptilian.

A need to help, an urge to serve.

To be mother natures nurse.

Oh, to pursue the gaining of credits

Surrounding oneself with books, essays,

Pushing brain to the limits and reaching the one goal.

Save all animals, treat them for what ails.

But, the fear.

Years of fighting for comfort of living

Never having enough to eat.

Grades suffering from the exhaustion of trying to just stay alive.

Debt, debt, debt

Give up even before beginning.

Resigned to let the wealthy walk the footsteps of a healer

Sit and wait for another opportunity.

Oh, Fear

You steal so much.

With every thought of you, you gain power,

making all possible things impossible.

Paralyzing, stunting.

You bring sadness and self-loathing.

A depressive resignation to live with you hovers over many.

Taking from their lives

and mine.

If I could change your existence, I would,

Hide you away, turn you upon yourself.

To have you stare at the dreams of the fearless

And watch you shrink down and surrender

May you never reach you goals, Fear.

May there never be enough to feed you.

May you never raise your hand, but

Be stuck silent and unheard

And may your heart never feel free and light

But, your feet be stuck on the rocks.

If I could steal you Fear, I would.

And when you were gone,

Forever gone

All potentials would be reached.

Every voice heard.

Ideas made real

Love given, received, and accepted

A world run by confidence and strength.

If all could live without out you, Fear,

Our world would finally be happy.
