If I share my mind,

will that be of higher value than my body?

If I share my words,

my thoughts, fears, passions,

will that be of higher value than my kisses,

my hugs, touches, caressing hands?

If I share with you, my vulnerable self in depth,

what will you share with me?

Will you take, take, take?

Is it selfish of me

to expect reciprocation?

Am I feeding the hungry,

expecting bread in return?

What a starving face you have

Emaciated, you mislead me

into believing you need something from me

If I share with you, hungry boy,

my soul, will you pick at it

like peas on your dinner plate,

and beg my body for desert?
