Star-Kissed

Location

Star-kissed

I open my eyes

And see

A million beautiful lights.

Little cosmic seeds,

Planted in the universe.

Some die

In spectacular bursts.

Some with but a whisper.

But these star-seeds can grow.

Bloom into galaxy flowers.

Beautiful with tiny shining lights.

Creating.

Star-kissed,

I open my eyes,

And wonder.

I marvel at the scale of it all.

I marvel at life.

I wonder if I’m the only one

Who still looks up?

And sees dreams

Hopes

Wishes

Beauty

Shining in the night.

If I’m not the only one

Who still loves

This star-garden,

Look up and think of me.

I will bloom

Wish

Hope

Dream

Create

Shine

In the glow.

And never lose the

Captivating wonder

Of the star-kissed light.

I wrote this poem with an attempt to capture in words the feeling I get when I look up at the night sky in a dark place. When the sky is full of lights, I am full of wonder, and I wanted other people to have that same feeling. I think everyone is connected by the stars, because all over the world people can still look up, see the shining lights, and feel like a part of something grand. These are the feelings was trying to bring forth with my words. Thank you for reading. Enjoy.
