Star Gazing

In a field, beneath your blankets, beneath the stars

Beneath the heavens telling us to stay apart

Although it's cold, I feel a flame

Normally I play it safe

But with you I want to play with the fire

Let the heat run wild

Your gentle fingers brush my fragile skin

I'm breaking, I'm aching to feel you brush across my lips

I'm hiding my hands so you wont see me shaking

But I recognize my butterflies in that look in your eyes

That look in your eyes that freezes time

I'll draw a smile to hide behind

But you know that I'm scared

With false confidence, I lace my fingers through your hair

I have your attention

This burning tension is perfection

I swear my heart is racing this shooting star

Can you hear it singing sweetly, beating hard?

You lip your hand into mine

The more wrong this becomes, the more it feels right

I'm losing myelsf in the warmth of your arms

The warmth of your smile

You wont say the words

But I see them on the tip of your tounge

"You're the one, you're the one, you're the one"
