StairCase

Up and up and up and up.

After one step, there always comes another,

Each must be taken more careful than the last.

The higher one climbs, the more there is to lose with

Any mistake, any misstep will cause every step before then to be forgotten,

After tumbling down them each only to be found again at the bottom.

But the fear of falling to the bottom should not cause

One never to climb at all.

I love this, you're blending something abstract like the concept of having things to lose with the concrete analogy of climbing a staircase. Clever.
